Author Resources

treasure-map1Finding reliable and reasonable support services can be like swimming in shark-infested waters.

When we find a treasure, we’ll share it here…

Here are two reviewers who are honest and fair and who love to support indie authors:

Julie Whiteley, a Goodreads and Amazon Top 1000 Reviewer  has joined eNovel Authors at Work as our Resident Reviewer. She is a mine of great information, as well as a blogger who likes to interview authors. Read her article on Reviews HERE.  Find Julie at The Book Review

Al Kunz (BigAl!) is another reviewer to trust at Big Al’s Books and Pals. His website is an international favorite and he will always let you know  if he finds issues with your book. Moreover Big Al maintains an active list of more than 200 book reviewers HERE.

Every promotion site on eNovel has been vetted. We know the owners/administrators. You will find promotion sites listed in our blogs and articles on our Preferred list or Above the Fold. The sites deliver results consistently. No promoter can buy his or way onto eNovel Authors at Work.  Our books are for sale, but never our honesty and integrity.

If you’ve ever thought about managing without an editor, think again. Stats show that edited books earn more money. Laurie Boris is a treasure of an editor, as well as being an indie author who uses an editor herself. She knows how it feels. Find Laurie at her website

How many formats do you need for your book? Kindle only, Smashwords? Print as well? It can all be learned but a quick ‘look inside’ a few books on Amazon will show that not everybody gets it right. We recommend: Caleb’s Book Formatting Services.

Blog Hops Book Tours and Rafflecopters

eNovel Authors at Work prefers Book Partners in Crime Promotions. The team at BPiC are tour and Rafflecopter wizards.  Sharing that number one slot of Tour Directors is Njkinny’s World of Books & Stuff.  Nikita’s presentations are masterful. You can sign up to host a touring book on your blog as well as send your book on its travels.

Website Creation

Amy Vansant has owned a web development and marketing firm since 1997, creating over 3000 web sites.  One of Amy’s specialties is building Word Press pages and blogs. She can also  include a WP newsletter Mail Poet.  Vansant Creations specializes in content management sites, ecommerce, and affordable solutions for authors.

Books for Authors

The best all around book for new indie authors.

There are over 1.5 million books in the Kindle Store, with thousands more added every day. How do you get yours noticed? Visibility isn’t a challenge that can be bested once – it requires continuous work. But there are tools and strategies to do much of the heavy lifting for you. This is our indie bible: LET’S GET VISIBLE will teach you how to get your book noticed. And getting noticed is key to growing your sales.

One of the best resources for the new indie author

Find on Amazon

In February 2012 Martin Crosbie’s self-published eBook “My Temporary Life” hit Amazon’s top ten overall bestseller list. The next month Amazon posted a press release revealing that Crosbie had made $46,000 in one month with one book. His book outlines the methods the top 5% of successful self-published authors utilize to produce their eBooks in a professional, cost-effective manner and to adopt the philosophy that will allow promotional opportunities to come to you. Updated often, it includes a list of  promotional sites–not all vetted. eNovel authors use Martin’s list. It is our base.

Always just 99c

Why should you buy and read THIS book on promoting? Because this book is the result of eNovel Member Rebecca Dahlke’s effective experiences selling  books on Amazon. Naturally, your results may differ from hers and ours, but still,  you’ll find at least two things in this book to say it’s worth the price. Rebecca is one of eNovel Author’s at Work top earners–every month.

eNovel Authors at Work recommends Kindle Nation Daily eBook Tracker. It’s free. Read about a trackers usefulness here.
