eNovel Authors at Work took a giant leap into boxed sets to help promote member books. Jackie Weger had the idea, Rich Meyer, eNovel Authors at Work’s tech guru executed it–because Weger is dumb as rock when it comes to tech stuff. Rich also designed the cover, made the banners for Facebook and Google Plus pages. Eleven authors participated in producing First Chapters up to 5,000 words of text. We asked for short author bios and short blurbs for books. At the end of each First Chapter is a link to the book’s buy page on Amazon. Rich pulled the book covers off Amazon so each book starts with a nice cover, then leaps right into First Chapters.
First Chapters is available for FREE download on NoiseTrade. Pete Barber, whose book NanoStrike is the lead title downloaded First Chapters from NoiseTrade as soon as it was posted and told us, it was smooth as silk to download the book. (Well, he said it different, but I can’t print what he said here). Rich followed up and reported that within the first couple of hours First Chapters had 13 downloads. NoiseTrade is hopping!
Thanks to Rich Meyer again, First Chapters is also now available as a FREE download on Smashwords. As of July 22, 2014 First Chapters is on Amazon and priced at 99¢ because we can’t go FREE until Amazon price matches NoiseTrade, Smashwords and iTunes.
First Chapters is to introduce members’ book to new readers and at the very least give the books and authors some exposure. We were able to put First Chapters together for $10 per author because Rich Meyer volunteered to put the omnibus together, build the cover and upload to all of the sites. Muchas Gracias, Rich!
