Plotting Your Book’s Life in 2017

BETA TESTING THE VALUE OF SMALL PROMOTIONS

marketing-strategy-planThere are two laments we hear day in and day out from indie authors: How do I get reviews and how do I promote my book? The first complaint can be easily addressed.  Put this gentle plea for a review right after THE END of your story.  More details HERE.

Thank you for taking the time to read [title]. If you enjoyed it, please consider telling your friends or posting a short review. Word of mouth is an author’s best friend and much appreciated. Thank you, again. [author name].

Joining eNovel Authors at Work

Are you considering membership in eNovel Authors at Work?

Sorry, but Membership is Closed until Further Notice

eNovel Round Logo (2)Hello, and welcome. I’m Jackie Weger, Founder of eNovel Authors at Work.  We open membership several times a year.  We are always on the lookout for indie authors with good books and a great attitude. Right this minute most of our authors are in promotions and gearing up for the fall season. We adore our new members and enjoy meeting them, downloading their books and in general making them welcome into our private Facebook Hub from whence all good information flows. As most of you know, autumn is our selling season, so we lack time to usher in new members.

Authors Spew Vitriol at FREE Books-Again!

marketing-strategy-plan“Nobody is buying my book because they can read all they want for FREE.”

You have heard that.  It never stops. There is across our indie author universe a huge outcry about authors who promote their books for FREE and/or 99¢ . The consensus of those pickle-sour notes is: Nobody is buying books because they can read all they want for free. “Where did you get that idea?”

“BookBub is a ripoff and detrimental to indies. Readers are so used to getting eBooks for free that no one expects to pay a red cent anymore.” True or False? Read on. You decide.

eBook Promoters ~ The Best & The Worst Part 4

Putting the spotlight on Goodreads Ads and Amazon.com Campaigns…

eNovel Round Logo (2)This is the fourth in a series of articles about ebook promoters and indie author services. Have mercy! It may go on forever because every single day we indie authors are approached by new promoters entering our indie universe and asking for our $$$. In an earlier post, I promised I would share our promotion experiences on Goodreads and Amazon.com. Goodreads leaves me confused.  I love Amazon. Amazon pays my bills.

I offer as a caveat: Indie authors who have mastered Goodreads may have wonderful success promoting with Goodreads. Ten of

Are You All Set for 2015?

eNovel Authors at Work is a year old

Slightly Stalky

NEW RELEASE

It has been a heck of year. Putting together a group of authors to volunteer and network is a massive chore and cannot be achieved without cooperation of like-minded authors. eNovel has been so fortunate. We have two volunteer webmasters, Amy Vansant and Carolyn Steele, who maintain this site and build and our author pages. Our authors are prolific and we call on our Webmasters almost daily to add a book to our author page, exchange books on the slider or add revised blurbs and book descriptions to titles already on a page.

#eNovAaW ~ Movers & Shakers

Last month’s column was so popular, I decided to do it again. Usually our blogs on eNovel are all about  eHow best to manage an indie career, effective  ePromotions, and talking about what works best for us and what does not. But November is shaping up to be another stellar month for eNovel Authors at Work members.  I will tell you straight out: When I first stepped into the digital universe, I fell flat on face. What actually put me on the path to success is networking. Aligning yourself with like-minded indie authors is essential for any success that comes your way.  Once aligned you must give as well as take and that is the foundation of eNovel Authors at Work. It is called paying-it-forward. Since we are an all volunteer group, and FREE, some members give more than others of their time and talent. Tech talent especially. I have NONE. We are so fortunate that every member in eNovel brings something to the table. So! Let me introduce you to some members who pay-it-forward, write wonderful books, answer every email and offer support to any indie author in need.
